St Marks Academy are seeking a passionate and dedicated LAC Coordinator

Location: St Marks Academy, Mitcham
Contract: Permanent, Term time only plus inset days plus two weeks
Hours: 35 hours per week, 41 weeks per year
Salary: £31,932-£34,206 actual salary Grade SO2 scale point 26-29 (FTE £35,217-£37,725)
Start date: As soon as possible

The inclusion department at St Mark’s Academy is vibrant and flourishing. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated LAC Coordinator and Deputy DSL to join our wonderful team.  St Marks Academy is passionate about the achievement for all students, and is committed to creating outstanding pupil experiences and learning for all, with a diligent team of excellent teachers and support staff who have a wealth of expertise and experience. As the LAC Coordinator and Deputy DSL, you will act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, supporting students and their families with a range of complex needs. You will be able to utilise your knowledge and understanding of mental health and counselling to develop and maintain our current therapeutic service and relationship with external agencies to ensure our student have access to a range of appropriate support services.  You will work with our students in care, providing weekly mentoring, coordinating PEP meetings and tracking student progress to ensure all of our students make exceptional progress.
