Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full time
Start date: January 2023

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead Oxford Spires Academy - a richly diverse and highly aspiring secondary school in East Oxford that offers an ambitious education to students aged 11 to 19, including a thriving sixth form.

Over the past decade, Oxford Spires has been transformed and is now a popular, successful and continually improving school, which has been graded as good in two successive Ofsted inspections (2013 and 2017). The school’s roll has increased by 50% over recent years, thanks to its increased popularity and profile, and it is now oversubscribed. Behaviour and attitudes, the focus on quality first teaching, the professional development opportunities provided for staff and the growing Sixth Form are among the school's many impressive features. Five Year 13 students received Oxbridge offers last year and a culture of high aspirations for all permeates every aspect of the school's diverse community.

We are looking to appoint a Principal with a proven track record at either Principal or Deputy Principal level. As a senior leader in our organisation, the post-holder would be expected to embrace Anthem’s values of integrity, collaboration and excellence and work closely with other schools across the Trust, whilst enjoying the autonomy to further develop the school’s distinctive ethos.

In addition to a competitive salary, we provide high-quality leadership coaching and professional development and the opportunity to play a key role in a dynamic and ambitious schools trust. We would also consider a relocation package for the right candidate.
