Judith Kerr Welcomes Ms. Büdenbender
We were deeply honoured that one of our schools was chosen to welcome Elke Büdenbender, wife of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, as part of the first German state visit to the UK in 27 years.
Judith Kerr Primary School in London, which offers high quality German language teaching from Nursery to Year 6, was delighted to host Ms Büdenbender on Wednesday 3rd December.
During her visit, she enjoyed a wonderful performance from the school choir, joined in singing a traditional German Christmas carol and shared tea and cake with pupils.
The pupils were also treated to a story telling, with Ms Büdenbender reading them Jim’s Spectacular Christmas in both German and English.
The visit reflects the strength of the school community at Judith Kerr Primary and celebrates the unique bilingual heritage that the school offers.
We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to showcase the talents of the children in our trust and to share in such a memorable visit.
