Curriculum
As a fully inclusive trust, we want to give every student access to a curriculum that exposes them to rich knowledge and social and cultural capital, and which gives them the tools to think critically and engage with the world.
We believe that giving all students access to high-quality schooling and the best possible opportunities is key to social justice and narrows the achievement gap for our most disadvantaged students.
We expect every Anthem teacher and leader to ensure that every student is taught a challenging and rigorous academic curriculum in line with the Anthem curriculum principles. These have been designed to codify our curriculum intent and provide guidance for those designing a curriculum at any level.
A tightly planned curriculum, delivered consistently to students across the school using The Anthem Way strategies, ensures that every student has the same access and opportunity.
Beyond the classroom...
In addition to our carefully curated curriculum, our ambition is to deliver a trust-wide programme of opportunities, focused on building social and cultural capital beyond the classroom.
Our personal development strategy is designed to enable all students, especially those who are disadvantaged, to experience enriching and challenging opportunities. We partner with local and national organisations to spark ambition and inspire our students through a robust offer which will include participation in the arts, music, sports, and the development of essential skills.
We believe this is key in establishing the experiences and knowledge students need to progress independently to the next stage of education or employment as confident young people who are proud to contribute positively to society.
