Judith Kerr Primary School scoops slot among top five primary schools in England
The South London-based Anthem primary school has been named as a top school in the Parent Power Sunday Times guide.
Judith Kerr Primary School (JKPS) in Herne Hill secured fifth place in The Sunday Times Top 500 primary school list, which is put together based on how primary schools in England rank on their average scores in English, grammar, and maths. The figures are taken from published 2023 SATs results.
An average score of 100 represents the expected standard children should achieve by the end of Year 6. A score of 110 or above in any of the three measures indicates children working at a higher level of attainment. JKPS has a score of 117 for English, 112 for grammar, and 113 for maths.
Deputy Headteacher Patrick Murphy said: “We are extraordinarily proud of our children and our school, and to have ranked so highly is a true testament to the commitment, hard work and dedication of the staff, the children, their families, and to their love of learning.”
